The Possibilities of Clay: Introductory Handbuilding with Alex Anderson

Learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and discover the possibilities of working with earthenware. Through coil and slab-building methods, students will learn to create a variety of functional and sculptural forms. Slip and underglaze painting, and glazing techniques, will offer a range of approaches to color, imagery, and surface. Guided projects will introduce essential skills while leaving room for individual ideas and experimentation. No previous clay experience is required.
