He completed his apprenticeship and started exhibiting in 2003. In 2005 he was adopted as the second son (designated by his grandfather to continue carrying on the family\/studio traditions.) He took over the pottery in 2007, after the death of Tatsuzo Shimaoka. He has shown work at many important exhibitions in Japan.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"\u003eKei will demonstrate the techniques of throwing, making, and decorating, which he learned from his grandfather, especially the rope pattern techniques.
