Figure it out- a virtual class with Joey Chiarello
There is a long history of animals and human figures being used in ceramics all over the world, even in functional forms. Using many examples as springboards, we’ll explore how to imagine and build our own contemporary vessels with spirit and purpose. We’ll finish our work with a variety of slips, stains, and underglazes. This class is open to everyone; beginners to advanced students.
Zoom classes will be augmented by recorded demonstrations and other resource materials. An initial bag of clay will be provided at pick up, as well other materials throughout the quarter. Pick up and drop off during open hours at the studio. This class can use low-fire or high-fire white clays.
Class dates: Thursdays, 6/16-7/28
Class time 6-8pm
